Prada was founded in Milan in 1913 by brothers Mario and Martino Prada as Fratelli Prada, a leather goods and luggage shop that became Official Supplier to the Italian Royal Household in 1919. Mario's granddaughter Miuccia Prada took creative control in 1977 and transformed the house into a global fashion powerhouse. Prada didn't enter fragrance until 2004, launching its first women's scent in partnership with Puig, followed by Prada Man in 2006 — and has since built acclaimed lines like Prada Candy and Paradoxe.
