About Montblanc

Montblanc was founded in Hamburg, Germany, in 1906 by engineer August Eberstein and banker Alfred Nehemias, who set out to build a leak-proof fountain pen. The company took its name and iconic white-star emblem from the Mont Blanc peak in 1910, and its Meisterstück pen, launched in 1924, remains the brand's defining symbol of craftsmanship. Montblanc entered fine fragrance in 2001, and its major fragrance launch, Legend, arrived in 2011 as a fresh, masculine fougère meant to evoke the grandeur of the mountain itself.
