About Creed

The House of Creed traces its founding to 1760 London, when James Henry Creed opened a tailoring house that later moved into fragrance, reportedly after King George III commissioned a scent to match a pair of scented gloves. The house relocated to Paris in 1854 and has passed through seven generations of the Creed family, known for the "Art of Millésime" — using the highest-quality raw materials available each year. Its best-known fragrance, Aventus, launched in 2010 for Creed's 250th anniversary and became one of the most influential and widely-copied men's fragrances of the 21st century. Creed is now part of the L'Oréal group.
